How to remove listing details from Redfin after a sale

What Redfin keeps after closing

Redfin builds the for-sale page from the MLS. After the status flips to sold, the same photos and remarks usually stay on the property page. The sold price, price history, beds, baths, and a description of the house are part of that page too. Hiding the gallery does not delete the sale.

Redfin is one site. A hide on Redfin does not hide the same gallery on Zillow or Realtor.com. Their help center says the control only affects Redfin, and that the MLS is a separate request if you want photos private on every site that reads the feed.

Hide the listing photos on Redfin

Use a desktop browser. Redfin documents this flow in Removing Photos on a Sold Home (opens in a new tab) and notes that the control is not in the mobile app. Labels can change, so use their article if a button has moved.

1. Sign in at Redfin.com.
2. Open the account menu and choose My Homes. Claim the home first if it is not already on that list. Redfin may ask you to verify ownership before the photo tools unlock.
3. Select the property if you have more than one.
4. Open Edit Photos.
5. Check Hide listing photos, confirm Yes, Hide Photos, and save.
6. Reload the public URL in a private window. The MLS gallery should be gone from Redfin.

After the MLS photos are hidden, Redfin typically shows a Google Street View image of the front. That image is not removed by the hide checkbox. If a floor plan or 3D tour is still on the page, Redfin customer support handles those separately from the photo gallery. Say so in the ticket and include the property URL.

Listing details that the photo button does not remove

Owners can correct some home facts from the owner tools. That is not the same as taking the sold record down. Expect these to remain unless Redfin agrees to a specific request:

• Sold price and price history. The sale is a public record, and Redfin uses it for nearby estimates.
• Beds, baths, square footage, year built, and lot size.
• A written property description carried over from the listing.
• Map location and the Street View exterior.

If a fact is wrong, edit it or report it. If the fact is accurate and you still want it off the public page, you are asking for a suppression, not a correction. Redfin may decline. A written request that states you are the owner, names the address, and lists the exact items (photos, remarks, price history) is clearer than a generic privacy note.

When to stop at Redfin and when to cover the other sites
