This policy describes how HideMyHome handles personal information for a small paid service. It is written in plain language for transparency and is not legal advice.

1. Who we are

   HideMyHome (hidemyhome.com and hidemyhome.ca) helps property owners request removal of listing photos, price history, and property details from major real estate websites. To do that, we collect the information described below and act with the signed authorization you provide.

2. Information we collect

   When you use the site or buy the service, we may collect:

   • Name and contact details, including email address and optional phone number.
   • Property address and related listing details you submit.
   • A signature and authorization confirming you own the property or have authority to act for it.
   • Payment information. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card number. Stripe may share with us a payment status, a limited billing reference, and the email or name associated with the payment.
   • Messages you send through the contact form.
   • Technical data such as browser type, device, and pages visited, collected through cookies and similar tools including Google Analytics (GA4) and Google Tag Manager.
3. How we use information

   We use this information to:

   • Provide the one-time removal service you purchased.
   • Confirm ownership or authority and prepare requests to real estate websites.
   • Process payment, send a receipt, and email you about the status of your request.
   • Reply to support and contact-form messages.
   • Protect the site from abuse and understand how the site is used.
4. How we share information

   We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:

   • Real estate websites and related parties, so we can submit a removal or privacy request for your property. That submission can include your name, property address, and signed authorization.
   • Stripe, to process your payment.
   • Our email provider, to send service and support messages.
   • Google, through analytics and tag-management tools already on the site.
   • Authorities or advisors when required by law or to protect our rights and customers.
5. Cookies and analytics

   We use cookies and similar technologies for basic site operation and to measure traffic. Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager may set cookies and receive usage data such as pages viewed and general location derived from your IP address. You can control cookies in your browser. Blocking them may limit some site features.

6. How long we keep information

   We keep account, authorization, and payment records for as long as needed to complete your request, provide support, and meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations. Contact messages are kept long enough to respond and to keep a record of the conversation. Analytics data is kept according to the settings of those tools.

7. Security

   We use reasonable safeguards, including HTTPS and a third-party payment processor, to protect the information we handle. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

8. Your choices

   You may ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, subject to records we must keep for legal or operational reasons. You may also object to certain uses or ask us to limit them. Residents of some U.S. states and individuals in Canada may have additional rights under local law. 9. United States and Canada

   The service is offered to customers in the United States and Canada. Information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate. If you use hidemyhome.ca, this same policy applies to that site.

10. Children

    The service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

11. Changes

    We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
